India's Growth Remains Stable Despite Hurdles
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that no obstacle would stop India's growth. He further stated that India is now among the world's top five economies. The country's inflation remains below 2 percent, while GDP growth is over 7 percent. Speaking at a conference organized by a countrywide news channel, Modi asserted that India doesn't keep mum when attacked by terror. Modi claimed that India has also responded aggressively by opting for airstrikes, surgical strikes, and Operation Sindoor.
India as a Reliable World Partner
The Prime Minister reported that despite the world discourse being all about wars, India continues to grow rapidly. India has recorded a three-year average growth rate of 7.8 percent during the past three years. The world, Modi declared, now views India as a committed, reliable, and stable friend that holds enormous potential to give. He emphasized that India is turning challenges into reforms. "Past governments enacted reforms under compulsion, but now we enact them under commitment and confidence," he said. Reforms for the Benefit of the People
Modi pointed out that earlier governments would promise tall things like "Garibi Hatao" but not deliver the results.
He announced that in his rule, 25 crore poor have been lifted from poverty. Unlike the Congress rule, where even getting a gas connection was contingent on an MP's recommendation, the current government has provided free gas connections to 10 crore poor families. He again said that government-owned businesses, which used to be in loss earlier, are now earning record profits. Modi also spoke of banking sector reforms and said that his government is determined to serve the people and safeguard the Constitution. "Our focus is to make life easier for the people," he said. Decrease in Maoist Violence
Speaking about internal security, Modi said that Maoist violence has reduced significantly after 2014. From 125 districts affected, the figure now stands at 11. In just three days, 303 Maoists surrendered and 303 rifles and a huge amount of ammunition were seized by the authorities.
The Prime Minister claimed that the majority of the regions affected by Maoist violence are celebrating Diwali for the first time in 60–70 years. The Prime Minister was assured that the violence of Maoists would end shortly, calling it a "Modi guarantee."
