
Chirag Paswan's Bihar Election Statement
Politics in Bihar has been set in motion with the current assembly elections. Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan made a significant remark about the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and their election strategy. Addressing reporters, he informed that the party would be observing Diwali on November 14, reflecting his optimism towards the success of the alliance.
Paswan asserted that even as negotiations continued regarding seat-sharing and candidate selection within the NDA, everything would go on well. He termed the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) as being uncoordinated and was confident that the NDA would record a historic win. Paswan also asserted that the elections were being fought under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and said that there were no disagreements in the alliance.
Seat Distribution in the NDA Alliance
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United) – JD(U) will both fight 101 seats in the 243-seat Bihar Assembly. Based on updates posted on their respective official 'X' (Twitter) handles, various NDA leaders have confirmed the final seat numbers:
- Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) – 29 seats
- Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) – 6 seats
- Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) – 6 seats
These co-seat details were announced by JDU Working President Sanjay Kumar Jha, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary (BJP), and Union Minister Chirag Paswan.
