Visakhapatnam Partnership Summit To Focus On Policy And Investment Discussions

Summit Overview

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that the upcoming Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15 would see both investment and policy discussions. He asked officials to look beyond agreement executions and call for strategic brainstorming sessions. The Chief Minister insisted such dialogues would benefit industries, government, and people. He reviewed summit preparations with officials in the camp office in Undavalli on Sunday.

Strategic Discussion Topics

The Chief Minister noted that the summit must be like the World Economic Forum in Davos, where policymakers and investors engage in a frank discussion. The summit will feature plenary and breakout sessions on various strategic topics such as:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Semiconductors
  • Healthcare and MedTech
  • Innovation, Research, and Development
  • Drones and Electronics
  • Smart Manufacturing and Supply Chain Linkages

Naidu also stressed the importance of such discussions on manufacturing quality, logistics, and related agricultural technologies. Key sectors in logistics would be roads, inland waterways, warehouses, cold storage handling, agritech, value addition, precious metals, circular economy, and waste management schemes.

Presentation on State Resources and Opportunities

The Chief Minister asked the officials to prepare a detailed presentation showcasing Andhra Pradesh resources and investment potential. The presentation should give coverage on:

  • Economic corridors and industrial clusters
  • Amaravati Blue-Green Capital initiatives
  • Water security and sustainable development
  • Human resource development for emerging industries
  • Technology integration in governance

He also recommended that the presentation be so designed that it reflects the growing image of India in the 21st century and highlights Andhra Pradesh's contribution to this transformation.

Government Policy and Industrial Growth

Chandrababu Naidu pointed out that progressive industrial policies have helped bring large international companies to Andhra Pradesh. He said Google's $15 billion investment in Visakhapatnam illustrates the state's increasing status as a hub of industry.

He also emphasized regularly upskilling skilled professionals to meet the needs of the industry. The Chief Minister also recommended offering homestay for the participants and establishing a cozy ambiance for native and foreign delegates, such as Chief Ministers, ministers, and industry experts.

International Participation and Collaboration

Naidu directed officials to send invitations to national universities and leading educational institutions to participate in the summit. He emphasized holding the event as an international conference in order to create cooperation among policymakers, entrepreneurs, and education institutions.

He also proposed linking the "One Family, One Entrepreneur" program to the summit goals and promoting the "AP to AI" policy to the masses in order to gain wider awareness of the digital shift efforts of Andhra Pradesh.
