Microsoft CEO's Compensation Increases Steeply
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will have a total compensation of $96.5 million (approximately ₹846 crore) for the 2025 fiscal year. The firm made this known in its most recent regulatory filing. This is up from his last year's compensation of $79.1 million (₹664 crore), which was an approximate rise of 22 percent.
Company Performance and Share Price
Microsoft posted high growth in the fiscal year ended in June. Its stock appreciated by almost 23 percent in the same time frame. The performance is responsible for Nadella's pay increase and performance-based rewards.
Cash Incentive and Leadership Recognition
Nadella will also be given a cash award of $9.5 million (₹80 crore) for his efforts, as per the company filing. The Microsoft board attributed Nadella and his leadership team with the company's immense development, particularly in the area of artificial intelligence (AI).
AI Development Under Nadella's Leadership
The board noted that Microsoft achieved significant progress in AI during Nadella's leadership. His leadership and vision are credited as essential factors that improved Microsoft's footing in the current AI race.
