Tesla And Starlink Begin Hiring In India

Recruitment begins in major Indian cities

Tesla, the electric carmaker led by Elon Musk, has begun hiring for a variety of positions in India along with Starlink, the satellite internet provider from SpaceX. Tesla has opened positions in Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune, among others, while Starlink has started recruiting to its headquarters in Bengaluru in advance of the launch of commercial services in the country.

Tesla Opens 34 Positions Across Departments

Tesla has posted 34 new job openings, all part of the company's recent expansion in India. This set of roles supports the local operations of the Model Y, domestic sales of which started earlier this year.

The following positions are available in the following departments:

  • Supply Chain
  • Engineering & IT
  • Sales and Customer Support
  • AI and Robotics
  • Vehicle Services
  • Operations and Business Support
  • Charging Infrastructure
  • HR stands for Human Resources.

One key position is Vehicle Operator, whose role will focus on enhancing the Autopilot for Indian driving conditions. Applications can be made through Tesla's official Careers page or other recognized job portals. Their recruitment will include several screening stages before the final selections are made.

Starlink Expands Workforce in Bengaluru

Meanwhile, Starlink, SpaceX's satellite constellation mission, has also begun its hiring in India and is preparing to launch its low-latency satellite internet service. Open positions in finance and accounting at Starlink include:

  • Accounting Manager
  • Payment Manager
  • Senior Treasury Assistant

Tax Manager All positions are based in Bengaluru, where the earth stations for Starlink will be established. The company is aiming to launch the satellite broadband services in India by late 2025 or early 2026, pending government approvals.
