Trump on Pakistan's Nuclear Activities
- US President Donald Trump says secret tests of nuclear weapons are being conducted by Pakistan. The tests are done underground, and the country does not report on them, he mentioned. In fact, nobody knows where their tests are being conducted, Trump added.
- He added that while nations like Pakistan are testing nuclear weapons, others may also have to do their testing. Very recently, Trump tasked the US Department of Defense to take the necessary action regarding this issue.
Other Countries Involved in the Charges
He further told CBS News that Pakistan, China, Russia, and North Korea were conducting nuclear tests - a claim which China has denied. So far, there is no response from Pakistan's government regarding the matter.
Trump's Comments on Taiwan and China
Trump also spoke to China-Taiwan tensions, saying China understands the grave consequences if they attack Taiwan. According to Trump, this is something Chinese President Xi Jinping would never do while he was president.
