Prime Minister Modi on the Meaning of Vande Mataram
Prime Minister Narendra Modi elaborated that Vande Mataram was more than a song. It was a dream, a resolution, and a mantra for the nation. As per him, it is both a form of worship and a practice dedicated to the motherland. He added that the song connects everyone to India’s ancient heritage and legends.
Modi said the sound of Vande Mataram instills confidence among people and creates a new hope towards the future. He said one feels an emotional bond with every other citizen while collectively singing it. “When we sing in the same rhythm and tone, our hearts beat together,” he said.
