Introduction of New Variant
Hero MotoCorp has launched a new variant of its Xtreme 125R in India. The updated model gets dual-channel ABS and riding modes, improving safety and performance. The company tagged the top-spec model at Rs. 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom). Hero has given the sporty Xtreme 125R similar features as its previous offering-the Glamour X, which came with cruise control and riding mode. This gives the Xtreme 125R a favorable matchup against the rivals in the 125cc motorcycle category, the TVS Raider, Honda CB 125 Hornet, and Bajaj Pulsar N125.
Design and Color Options
While the overall design has remained largely similar, Hero MotoCorp has updated the model with new color options. The Xtreme 125R would be available in Black Pearl Red, Black Mathshadow Gray, and Black Leaf Green colors. This brings in a fresh look while retaining the sporty design of the bike.
Performance and Riding Modes
Now, the Xtreme 125R comes equipped with ride-by-wire throttle technology and the addition of three riding modes: Power, Road, and Eco. These riding modes allow riders to tune performance according to riding conditions. For superior braking, the bike now comes fitted with dual disc brakes and dual channel ABS for better control and safety.
Engine and Transmission
The engine is still the same 124.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled configuration. Power and torque output stand at 11.5 hp and 10.5 Nm, respectively, all channeled through a 5-speed gearbox. That means the performance will be properly balanced for routine city rides and short trips.
Technology and Features
Similar to the Glamour X, the new Xtreme 125R gets a 4.2-inch color LCD instrument console. The feature list includes turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts, and SMS notifications. There's LED lighting for the headlamp, tail lamp, and indicators for added visibility and a fresher design appeal.
