Intelligence reports suggest terror camps near India's borders.
Indian intelligence agencies have reported that Pakistan is trying to spread terrorism around India. According to these reports, terror camps and training centers are being developed in neighboring countries such as Nepal and Bangladesh. English newspapers have quoted intelligence inputs that say preparations are on to establish such camps only a few kilometres away from the India-Bangladesh and India-Nepal borders. These activities reportedly increased after the conclusion of Operation Sindoor.
New Camps and Facilities Identified in Neighboring Countries
According to sources in Indian intelligence, training camps and residential facilities are being built in various regions of Bangladesh and Nepal. These regions reportedly harbor individuals receiving terrorist training. Reports came forward following investigations into the arrest of several Pakistan-backed militants in Indian states along its borders with Bangladesh and Nepal. India has intensified border security in the wake of these recent incidents. Officials are also keeping tabs on projects within its neighbors that are being constructed with foreign-funded assistance.
Expansion Plans of Major Terror Organizations
Intelligence reports suggest that Pakistan-based terrorist outfits, including LeT and JeM, are making efforts to extend their networks in Nepal. Meanwhile, Al-Qaeda and ISIS have been increasing their activities in Bangladesh over the past five months. Continuous migration from Pakistan to both Bangladesh and Nepal is also supporting these operations.
Foreign Funding and Support for Terror Operations
Reports further suggest that Turkey provides financial support to build and maintain terror camps in Bangladesh and Nepal. Indian intelligence sources say that Turkish intelligence agencies have facilitated the renovation of the Jamaat-e-Islami office in Dhaka. India, meanwhile, has heightened vigil along its borders while keeping a close watch on the developments.
