Authorities intensify probe near Red Fort

Investigations pertaining to the bomb explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi have intensified. CCTV footage related to a Hyundai i20 car has surfaced, reportedly in connection with the explosion. From the video, one could see that there was a man driving the vehicle, a few moments before the blast at 6:52 pm on Monday. The police have identified him as Dr. Umar Mohammed, said to have Faridabad module links.

Car linked to Pulwama suspect

Police believe that the car was sold to one Tariq from Pulwama. The car was spotted by a CCTV installed in front of a residential area in Nirman Bhawan near the site of the blast. Police have confirmed that the blast took place in a Hyundai i20 bearing the registration number HR 26CE 7674.

The vehicle had been parked in a parking area near the Red Fort for about three hours before the blast. According to official reports, the vehicle had arrived at 3:19 PM and stayed there till 6:30 PM.

Suspect Behavior and Vehicle Records

Officials said those in the car did not emerge in that period. It is thought they stayed inside, probably waiting for a signal or timing relative to the explosion.

Records of the car reveal multiple traffic challans across Delhi NCR, which all have been cleared. The investigating team is analyzing these details to trace the movements and contacts of the suspects.
