RJD Leader Acknowledges Confidence
Vote counting for the Bihar State Assembly election began on Friday. Officials started with postal balloting at 8 AM. As counting commenced, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav expressed his opinion on the results from the ongoing counting. He indicated the alliance expects positivity, and he thanked all supporters for participating.
Tejashwi Yadav stated they aspire to form the next government, in his comments he said they originally envisioned the results would provide for political transformation within the state.
Candidate Status and Constituency Background
Tejashwi Yadav is running as the Mahagathbandhan's Chief Minister candidate from the Raghopur constituency, and is leading in the ongoing counting. Tejashwi Yadav's top contender within the constituency is BJP candidate Satish Kumar.
The state election was conducted in two phases with a turnout of around 67.13 percent. Exit polling data has suggested that the ruling NDA will return to power, however opposition parties stated they do not believe exit polling data prior to the results of counting.
