Mahindra, the leading automaker, has just launched the newest electric vehicle in the country: the Mahindra XEV 9S. This car will be Mahindra's very first 7-seater electric SUV. While the starting price stands at Rs. 19.95 lakhs, it goes up as high as Rs. 29.45 lakhs for the top variant. The bookings start from January 14 next year, while the deliveries will begin from January 23.
This is the third electric vehicle on Mahindra's EV Inglo platform. Earlier, the company came up with two EVs: XEV 9E and BE 6E. The company also announced test drives starting on December 5.
Key Features of Mahindra XEV 9S
- This vehicle supports 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh battery packs.
- It offers up to 175 kW fast charging.
- The range, depending on which variant, ranges from 521 to 679 kilometers on a single charge. The maximum range of 679 km can be covered using the 79 kWh battery pack.
- The boot space in this 7-seater SUV is approximately 527 liters. Extra cargo space is enabled by folding the third row.
- The dashboard contains three digital screens, and there are another two screens for the passengers at the back.
- It comes equipped with other features that combine safety and convenience, such as seven airbags, sunroof, ADAS system, auto parking, driver drowsiness detection, DAMs, and a 360-degree camera.
- The Mahindra XEV 9S has an extended electric range in addition to extensive seating space and modern technologies, hence being suitable for families and long drives.
