Wedding Postponed Due to Health Issues
- The wedding between Smriti Mandhana and music director Palash Muchhal was scheduled to take place on November 23. However, just a few hours before the event, Smriti's father, Srinivas, began to experience heart attack symptoms, quickly ushering him into the hospital. Smriti's manager did confirm that she has postponed her marriage because the family is handling a medical emergency.
- Soon after, Palash Muchhal also suffered from sickness. He was treated first at a hospital in Sangli and later was taken to a hospital in Mumbai because of continuous health issues. According to the doctors, he developed stress and anxiety. They administered oxygen therapy and advised him to rest for three weeks. Srinivas, Smriti’s father, also was sent home after treatment. There was no official update from Smriti regarding the wedding at that time.
Mother of Palash Confirms Wedding Will Take Place
The mother of Palash, Amita, has told an English magazine in a recent interview that both the families are recovering from that period. She said that very soon, the marriage would take place, and both Smriti and Palash are fine.
Speculation Arises from Social Media Activity
- Smriti removed the pictures of her wedding ceremony preparation from her social media sites. This action led to many assumptions online. Meanwhile, screenshots claiming to show Palash chatting with another woman and insulting Smriti surfaced. These posts created more rumors about the couple.
- Both the families have made an official announcement that the wedding was postponed due to Srinivas's illness. They have not commented on the rumors floating on social media.
