Russia Approves Key Decision Ahead Of Putin's India Visit

Russian President Vladimir Putin will be visiting India soon. Ahead of this visit, Moscow has taken a crucial step: the military agreement it had signed with India is going to be approved by the country's parliament.

According to media reports, this development might be confirmed by official sources. The agreement was aimed to strengthen military cooperation between India and Russia. The two nations signed the defense pact earlier this year. The formal process was completed by Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin and Indian Ambassador Vinay Kumar.

In an official statement, the Kremlin confirmed that Putin will visit India on December 4–5. The visit is going to take place following an invitation by PM Narendra Modi. During the visit, Modi and Putin are scheduled to participate in a bilateral meet. Indian President Droupadi Murmu will be hosting a special banquet in honor of the Russian leader. Various important agreements are expected to be finalized during this visit.
