Meta launched smart glasses in India together with Oakley, capable of clicking high-quality photos and videos with built-in support for hands-free tasks powered by a voice assistant.
Pricing Information
- The price for the Oakley Meta HSTN model with Meta AI in both Clear and Prizm lens options is Rs. 41,800 each.
- The Prizm Polarized version will cost Rs. 44,200.
- The Prizm Transition lens model is available at Rs. 47,600.
All the variants are available on sale at leading optical and eyewear retailers across India.
Camera and Audio Features
- These glasses include a 12MP camera capable of recording 3K videos at 30fps. It includes standard, slow motion, and hyperlapse video modes. Still photos can be captured at 3024 x 4032 pixels.
- The recorded audio is clearer with a penta-microphone system, and calling and music playback are supported over open-ear speakers. Users can also stream in first-person view using Meta apps such as Instagram.
Voice Assistant and Storage
- The glasses include 32GB of storage, enough to hold around 100 videos of 30-second length and over 1,000 photos.
- With the command "Hey Meta", the AI voice assistant comes alive with the ability to check the weather, plan schedules, or get cooking instructions. It can support playback from Apple Music and Spotify. Battery Performance The glasses will run up to eight hours on a single charge. They include a rechargeable carrying case that extends the total usage time up to 48 hours.
