Nuclear War In The Next Ten Years: Elon Musk's Comments

World entrepreneur and Tesla CEO Elon Musk expressed his views over the chances of a nuclear war. According to him, the chances of such a war are likely within the next five to ten years. He shared his remarks in response to a post on the social media platform X.

A user named Hunter Ash wrote on X that governments think nuclear weapons prevent war. He added, "This thinking lowers outside pressure on these governments". Elon Musk replied to this post. He wrote, “War is inevitable. It is happening in 5 to 10 years.” Musk did not provide any explanation for his statement.

Musk has previously worked in the DOGE department set up by former U.S. President Donald Trump. His recent comments have drawn public attention and raised concern.

Some users asked Grok-an AI-to explain Musk's statement. Grok said Musk did not elaborate on his comment. The AI, however, cited Musk's earlier warnings of an impending civil war in Europe and the UK. Musk earlier also warned that the growing tension between the U.S. and China concerning Taiwan, along with Ukraine's war, might spill over into a full-scale world war.
