Putin's Visit To India Concludes Successfully

A visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin to India has ended

  • successfully. He attended a dinner hosted by President Draupadi Murmu during his visit. After dinner, he directly went to the airport. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar escorted him to the airport and saw him off.
  • Putin concluded with the rallying cry: "Let's move forward together, let's grow together." The Russian President was received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Delhi airport on Thursday evening. Next morning, he was given a ceremonial reception by President Murmu.
  • During the visit, Putin attended the 23rd Annual India-Russia Summit. Both sides inked a set of agreements. Strengthening cooperation on big-ticket items such as defense and energy topped the agenda of the talks.
