Monthly Plan and Hardware Cost
Starlink has revealed the price of its upcoming residential internet service in India. The monthly subscription will cost Rs 8,600 per month, while the hardware needed for the service will be priced at Rs 34,000. The service will offer unlimited data for all users.
Trial Period and Installation Features
Starlink is offering a 30-day free trial to its new customers. In addition, the device is plug-and-play, which enables users to install the kit by themselves. According to the company, the service will remain active during all kinds of weather, hence providing stable connectivity.
Speed and Business Plans Yet to Be Announced
Starlink has not disclosed yet the internet speed that will be provided to residential users. Business subscription plans are also awaited. According to its website, the service rollout in India is contingent upon regulatory approvals.
Availability of Service and Expansion Efforts
The website also shows, through a coverage map, the availability of its service in the nearby countries of Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. Starlink has begun to hire staff to support national deployment in India. Gateway earth stations are also being built by SpaceX in Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Noida.
