Voice & Video Messages for Missed Calls
In a situation where a WhatsApp call is unanswered, users are capable of responding with a voice message or video.
Key points:
- The button that has appeared is beneath the missed call in the chat.
- The user can send an audio/video message to state the calling reason
- The message can be read by the receiver in that chat
WhatsApp has also introduced:
- New interactions, such as "Cheers," in voice chats
- The reactions do not interrupt group conversations
- Video conferencing: The active speaker has been given priority for audio automatically, much like Zoom, Google Meet
Meta AI Image & Video Creation
The Meta AI image capabilities within WhatsApp have been improved.
New capabilities are:
- Highly capable image generation, such as Midjourney, Flux
- Enhancement of image formation for greeting messages
- The capacity to make videos from a single image, with the use of Meta AI
New Media Tab & Link Preview Design
The Media tab has been introduced for desktop users.
This tab shows:

- Photographs
- Videos
It is a centralized location that shows all the shared as well as received media.
