Remarks at Air Force Academy
CDS General Anil Chauhan, while addressing young officers at the Combined Graduation Parade at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal, Hyderabad, on Saturday said, "Wars can't be won with words alone. To win wars, one needs to act decisively and also plan every step cautiously.
Discipline and Execution Emphasis
General Chauhan added that real strength emanates from discipline, planning, and execution of decisions with precision. This stability in India emanates from a strong democratic system and the expertise of the armed forces, he highlighted. In contrast to that, there are countries whose instability emanates from weak systems, which generally follow a path of conflict.
Context of Recent Operations
His comments came for the first time after Pakistan claimed victory in the heavy losses caused by the operation named Sindoor. General Chauhan said that the Indian forces were changing and morphing with global changes and technological changes in the ways of warfare. He also confirmed the operations like Sindoor would keep happening as a part of India's security.
Guidance to Young Officers
General Chauhan called upon graduating cadets to remain watchful and responsible while discharging their duties. He said negligence would not be tolerated, as one's mistake would be blame on oneself for that. He also thanked parents for dedicating their children to national service.
Operation Sindoor and National Security
Operation Sindoor was a stern reply from the Indian side to the Pahalgam terrorist attack. There are reports that 10 members of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar's family also became causalities in these attacks. General Chauhan emphasized that in the modern military operation, vigilance and technology continue to be key.
