IBM, a technology company based in America, will embark on massive training to develop expertise in new technologies. The company’s goal by the year 2030 is to train 5 million people in the field of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and quantum computing.
The training will be offered through IBM SkillsBuild, which is an educational initiative of the company. According to IBM, this new initiative is expected to benefit students in terms of making them more job ready while also ensuring industries receive an educated workforce.
To achieve this, IBM will partner with schools, colleges, as well as vocational training institutions. IBM also announced that it would partner with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for programs such as faculty development, hackathons, as well as intern programs.
Arvind Krishna, the chairman and CEO of IBM India, said that the skills of newtechnologies are a necessity for being competent. He stated that the reach of these skills should be broad. He said that training young minds for the future technology will help the economy of the country flourish.
