Kuwait has also introduced charges related to entry and visit visas, as per new amendments in the executive regulations. A fee of 10 Kuwaiti dinars is being charged per month for these visas. These regulations became operational from December 23.
The Ministry of the Interior has confirmed that the new regulation applies to visitors, investors, employees, and local residents. The new regulation aims to optimize the entire residency procedure for various types of visas.
In a different update, the government has given four months to foreign nationals to register births. Failure to register births after the expiration of the four months will incur a fine. The fine to be incurred will be 2 Kuwaiti dinars a day in the initial month following the deadline to register births. After the second month, the fine will be 4 Kuwaiti dinars a day.
