Report Claims Maduro Challenged The US Before His Arrest

A report has reported that the US conducted a significant operation to arrest the president of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro. The report suggests that the operation was a response to a public challenge made by Maduro to the US president several months before. A clip from that speech has recently come to light and is being widely shared on social media.

Maduro's public challenge

Maduro, in the clip, talked back to the US who had just announced that the reward for information on his arrest had been increased. The reward was 50 million dollars at that point. Maduro during his talk came straight to the US and said: US forces, come to the Miraflores presidential palace and arrest me if you can. He said that he was waiting and urged them not to take time.

US Response and Operation Footage

The White House just released a video that mixed up Maduro’s declarations with a US military operation. In the post, US officials noted that Maduro got his demand fulfilled. The statement further claimed that the Trump administration is always taking proactive measures for protecting American lives against threats whether these are domestic or international.

Social Media Reaction

Donald Trump, the ex-president of the US, also posted a similar video on his social media site, Truth Social. The video reiterated the message communicated by the White House and, in fact, created more public curiosity around the incident.
