At the beginning of the year, the Xiaomi-owned Redmi brand made a double product launch in India. The company presented the Redmi Note 15 smartphone and the Redmi Pad 2 Pro tablet. The event that took place in Delhi marked the public unveiling of the Redmi Note 15.

The Redmi Note 15 smartphone is classified as a mid-range device. It is a successor of the Redmi Note 14 and has got some hardware and software improvements. The phone operates on the HyperOS 2 powered by Android 15. Android updates have been confirmed for four years, along with six years of security updates. Moreover, the company mentioned that the HyperOS 3 upgrade which is based on Android 16 will be provided in the future.

The AMOLED panel of the Redmi Note 15 measures 6.77 inches and it has a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display can achieve a maximum brightness of 3,200 nits and it is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for protection against scratches. For running applications, the device is equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor that allows efficient multitasking as well.

The phone gets a combination of a 108 MP primary and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera at the rear. There is a 20 MP sensor on the front for taking selfies and making video calls. The device comes with an IP65 rating which denotes that it is resistant to dust and water. Furthermore, it features AI face unlock and a fingerprint sensor that is embedded in the display.
The battery capacity of the Redmi Note 15 is 5,520 mAh. It is compatible with 45W rapid charging and 18W reverse charging.
