Trump was also talking about the internet shutdown in Iran. He announced that the US is looking for ways to get the internet up and running again through satellite services. He went on to say that he would have a talk with the chief of SpaceX, Elon Musk, about this prospect.
Raising Death Toll in Iran
Protests and security forces' counteractions are still taking place in Iran. Reports mention that 544 has been the number of casualties so far. Among the dead are 48 members from security forces. The authorities have detained more than 10,000 people during the disturbances.
Clearing Up Misconceptions Relating to Indians
There were rumors on social media that the Iranian army had detained a few Indian citizens. Some postings were saying that six Indians were arrested. The Iranian embassy in New Delhi dismissed the rumors and stated that the news was incorrect. The embassy counseled the public not to take these reports seriously.
