Trump Discusses Greenland And International Relations At Davos

In his address at the Davos World Economic Forum, US President Donald Trump talked about Greenland and other global matters. He mentioned that the US is interested in purchasing Greenland but at the same time stressed it will not happen through any forceful means.

Trump pointed out that Greenland is very strategically located and its value lies in this location right next to the US, Russia, and China. He further mentioned that Greenland was after World War II basically handed over to Denmark. Trump Propheted the US would like to buy it through negotiating rather than using military power. He then went on to explain that the interest is not for natural resources but for strategic and national security reasons only.

Trump touched upon the subjects of the hour-long speech, among them, India, Pakistan, and Canada. He mentioned that his administration had been a factor in stopping the conflicts, including the one between India and Pakistan, by creating a situation of tension. The President projected that the US had made several domestic victories in the past year. He pointed out that trade deficits with nations like Canada must be fixed, stressing on the clearance of pending dues. Meanwhile, the US sits looking for fostering relations with other nations and not for the purpose of harm to them.
