Amazon Preparing For Another Round Of Layoffs

Amazon, the global e-commerce company, is reportedly planning another round of layoffs. The reports indicate that approximately 16,000 employees will be impacted by job losses during the upcoming week. The company has not released an official statement yet, although media outlets have reported this information.

Previous Layoffs and Workforce Details

Last year, Amazon faced speculation about large-scale job cuts. The company which has 350,000 corporate workers, according to Reuters, planned to terminate 30,000 employees, which represents about 10 percent of its total staff. Amazon later confirmed its decision to eliminate 14,000 job positions.

Departments Affected in the New Layoffs

Amazon sources report that upcoming job cuts will impact multiple company divisions. The affected divisions include Amazon Web Services, Retail, Prime Video, and Human Resources. The company plans to conduct employee terminations on January 27.
