India–EU Engagement and Trade Talks
- The European Union leaders who traveled with a senior delegation will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. The discussions will aim to enhance the India–EU partnership through improved collaborative efforts.
- Ursula von der Leyen announced at the World Economic Forum in Davos that India and the EU are progressing toward their finalization of a free trade agreement. The agreement will deliver advantages to millions of people because it will apply to 25 percent of worldwide economic activity according to her statement.
United States Extends Republic Day Greetings
US President Donald Trump shared Republic Day greetings with India. The US Embassy in India shared the message on X. Trump declared in the statement that the United States and India maintain a historic partnership which exists between the world’s oldest and largest democracies.
