The former wife of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates Melinda Gates has explained why their marriage ended. Her comments followed renewed attention on Bill Gates in connection with the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

Melinda experienced extreme emotional pain after she discovered that Bill Gates maintained close connections with other women. She explained that this particular situation resulted in major harm to their marital relationship. Bill Gates failed to uphold essential qualities which would have safeguarded their bond according to her assessment which prompted her to terminate their marriage.She described that period as extremely painful. She also said that Bill Gates should respond to the allegations linked to his name, not her.
Comments on the Epstein Files
Melinda referred to the recent release of Epstein-related files by the US Department of Justice. She expressed hope that the women named as victims in these files will receive justice.
The files contain evidence which Jeffrey Epstein used to assert that Bill Gates engaged in sexual activities with Russian women and subsequently acquired sexually transmitted infections. Epstein also claimed that Gates asked him for antibiotics to secretly give to Melinda to prevent public exposure. Bill Gates’ team has firmly denied all these claims and described them as completely false.
Background of the Divorce
Bill and Melinda Gates divorced in 2021 after nearly 30 years of marriage. They have three children who have reached adulthood. The Wall Street Journal reported at that time that Melinda ended their marriage because she disapproved of Bill Gates' relationship with Epstein.
