Iran Says It Will Continue Uranium Enrichment Amid Talks With The US

Iran has declared that it will continue its uranium enrichment program during its nuclear negotiations with the United States. The comments were made by Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, who emphasized that external pressure will not change Iran’s position.

Iran Rejects External Pressure

Araghchi said Iran does not trust the United States and sees no reason to reduce or stop uranium enrichment. He stated that Iran will continue its nuclear activities even if it faces military threats. According to him, no country has the authority to dictate Iran’s policies.

He also stated that the US military presence in the region fails to create fear in Iran. Araghchi stressed that Iran will make decisions based on its own national interests.

Consultations With Strategic Partners

The deputy foreign minister added that Iran is holding consultations with its strategic partners, China and Russia. These discussions focus on Iran's strategy for nuclear negotiations with the United States and its regional diplomatic efforts.
