The AI Impact Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi received Prime Minister Narendra Modi's approval for its organization. He called on worldwide attendees to join the summit. He used the summit to demonstrate how India achieved its current scientific and technological achievements. He observed that this marks the inaugural significant international AI summit conducted in a Southern Hemisphere country. He declared that India should feel national pride because of its ability to organize such events.
Theme Focuses on Inclusive Development
The summit follows the theme "Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhaya" which means welfare for all and happiness for all. The Prime Minister stated that the theme reflects a shared commitment to use artificial intelligence for global progress. He emphasized that AI should support inclusive and sustainable development.
The summit will boost India's position in three areas which include digital public infrastructure development and startup growth and advanced research activities. He demonstrated that AI already enables essential functions in four vital fields which include healthcare and education and agriculture and governance.
Global Participation and Objectives
The summit will take place in New Delhi from today until the 20th. Representatives from more than 45 countries will participate. Each country will outline its AI priorities and strategies during the event.
