Modi To Visit Israel On 25–26
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Israel for two days on the 25th and 26th of this month. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the visit during the Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations Conference held on Sunday.
  • Netanyahu stated that India and Israel share a strong friendship. The two nations will examine all their partnership opportunities during the upcoming visit. He displayed India's worldwide significance together with its 1.4 billion population.
  • Modi will deliver a speech to the Knesset which serves as the Israeli Parliament during his visit. His first trip to Israel occurred in July 2017. India and Israel established a bilateral trade agreement (BIT) in November 2022 to enhance their economic relations.

Supreme Court to Hear Sabarimala and Related Cases from April 7

  • The Supreme Court of India has taken a key step regarding petitions on the issue of women’s entry into religious places. The petitions address issues that involve the Sabarimala temple in Kerala.
  • The Court will use a nine-judge bench to analyze all constitutional matters in this case. A bench led by Chief Justice of India Justice Suryakant, along with Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice Vipul M. Pancholi, stated that hearings will begin on April 7.
  • All involved parties must provide their documented statements to the Court by March 14. The hearings will continue from April 7 to April 22.
  • The bench will investigate all matters that connect to Sabarimala. The matters include Muslim women's rights to enter dargahs and mosques and the Parsi religious prohibition against women who marry outside their faith to enter specific places of worship.
