Vijay To Contest From Two Constituencies In Tamil Nadu Elections

Candidate Announcement by TVK

In the upcoming Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections Vijay will contest from two different electoral districts according to his announcement as the actor and president of Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
He revealed this during a candidate introduction event held in Chennai. At the event Vijay released a complete list of 234 party candidates who would represent the party.

Vijay will contest from the following constituencies:

Perambur in Chennai district
Trichy East in Tiruchirappalli district

He described the election as a democratic and competitive contest. He stated that the main political contest is between TVK and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and also between himself and M. K. Stalin.

Other Key Candidates

The party announced several important candidates:

Bussy N. Anand serves as the General Secretary of TVK and he will run for election from Thyagaraya Nagar in Chennai Adhav Arjuna will contest from Villivakkam as the Election Campaign General Secretary.
Vijay selected Sabarinathan to represent Virugambakkam in Chennai as the candidate. Sabarinathan is the son of Rajendran who has worked with Vijay for nearly 30 years as a driver and assistant.
During the announcement both Rajendran and Sabarinathan became emotional. Vijay responded by consoling them.
