Leadership Change in Bihar
The BJP legislative party in Bihar has selected Samrat Choudhary to serve as their new leader. He will soon take oath as the new Chief Minister. This change follows Nitish Kumar's resignation from his position.

Political Journey of Samrat Choudhary
- In 1990 Samrat Choudhary launched his political career with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He later moved to the Janata Dal (United). In 2017 he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
- He advanced through the BJP after joining the party. He progressed through the party system until he achieved top leadership positions. He currently holds the position of Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar.

- Samrat Choudhary belongs to the Kushwaha community. This group holds strong political influence in Bihar. It is considered one of the largest communities in the state after the Yadavs.
- Until now no leader from the Kushwaha community has held the Chief Minister's post. His appointment marks a significant moment for community representation in state politics.
