Realme 16T Launches With 8000mAh Battery And 144Hz LCD Display

Realme 16T Launches With 8000mAh Battery And 144Hz LCD Display

So, Realme has now dropped the Realme 16T into the Indian market, and it seems aimed right at mid range buyers who care more about “staying powered” and day to day smoothness, plus display and camera stuff. On paper it’s built around battery endurance, a 144Hz LCD setup, and a camera experience with AI tools in the mix.

Realme Announces the 16T, a New Mid-Range Phone

Realme is treating the 16T like a fresh add-on in its mid range lineup. It blends a big battery, a faster refresh screen, and a MediaTek processor inside. The handset lands with multiple storage sizes, along with three color choices to pick from.

This phone also ships with Realme UI 7, and yes it’s based on Android 16.

Screen and everyday performance

  • 6.8 inch LCD panel

The device packs a 6.8-inch LCD display. It’s rated for a 144Hz refresh rate, so scrolling feels calmer, and gaming can look smoother than on 60Hz displays. The panel is claimed to hit up to 1200 nits peak brightness, which should help when you are outdoors, at least more than usual.

For the front camera, Realme goes with a punch hole layout, so it stays pretty clean up top.

MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset

Under the hood, there is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300. The idea here is daily usage, multitasking, and mobile gaming without going overboard. Pairing comes in up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.

And again it runs Realme UI 7 based on Android 16.

Camera package and those AI things

50MP primary camera

On the back, the main camera uses a 50MP Sony IMX852 sensor. There is also a 2MP monochrome camera, meant to add more depth for portrait style shots and better separation.

AI camera modes

Realme has stuffed in a few AI led camera modes. You get AI Portrait Glow and AI Instant Clip among the options. And there is a “Selfie Mirror” feature included too, but it’s placed on the rear panel, so yeah, sort of a rear selfie twist.

Front Camera Details

For selfies and video calls, the Realme 16T features a 16MP front facing camera, and yeah it sits right inside the punch-hole cutout on the display. It feels a bit tucked in there, so nothing too obvious from the front.

Battery and Charging Support

  • 8000mAh Battery Capacity

One of the main selling points of the Realme 16T is its big 8000mAh battery. This generous cell is meant to help you sail through longer hours of day-to-day usage without stressing too much, you know.

Fast Charging and Reverse Charging

On charging, the phone supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging. Realme also adds 6.5W wired reverse charging, so the handset can share power and charge compatible gadgets through a cable. Not fancy but practical.

Variants, Colors, and Pricing

The Realme 16T comes in three different configurations:

  • 6GB RAM + 128GB storage — ₹29,999
  • 8GB RAM + 128GB storage — ₹31,999
  • 8GB RAM + 256GB storage — ₹34,999

Color options

  • Starlight Black
  • Starlight Blue
  • Starlight Red

Availability and Launch Offers

The Realme 16T will be sold via Flipkart, plus the official Realme India website. The very first sale kicks off on May 27, so keep that date in mind.

As for launch benefits, buyers can also get a bank discount of up to ₹3,000, as part of the offer package.
