Here is the release date of The Odyssey English film main.
- Release date: July 17, 2026.
Production of The Odyssey started in March 2024, while the project was locked down with Universal Pictures by October, and the movie was officially unveiled in December. The casting process started from December 2024 to January 2025, with the announcement that Damon would play the main character in February 2025. Nolan has chosen to create a realistic representation of Greek myths, especially influenced by the 2017 translation of the Odyssey by Emily Wilson, a renowned classicist of British-American descent, and films by visual effects artist Ray Harryhausen. Filming was done from February to August 2025 in locations such as Morocco, Greece, Italy, Scotland, Iceland, Western Sahara, and Malta, and at a studio set in Los Angeles. Estimated cost of production is estimated at around $250 million, and thus the movie may turn out to be Nolan's most expensive film and the first one to use IMAX's 70 mm cameras for filming.
'The Odyssey' will have its theatrical release in the US through Universal Pictures on July 17, 2026, in IMAX format.
