Xiaomi just rolled out the Xiaomi 17T, sort of a fresh mid-range smartphone, and yeah it is really leaning into photography, plus some solid day to day performance. It comes with a Leica-powered triple rear setup, a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip, and a big 6,500mAh battery too, with fast-charging capability, so it should not feel slow when you’re on the move.

Xiaomi 17T Specifications

Now, the Xiaomi 17T sports a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel, it gives you 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, very smooth scrolling. The display can hit a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, which should make it easier to read when the light is harsh out there.

For processing, you get the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. The software side runs HyperOS 3, built on top of Android 16. Simple enough, no weird surprises.

Camera department, Leica is in the picture. There’s a triple rear camera array co-developed with Leica and it includes:

• 50MP Light Fusion 800 main sensor
• 50MP periscope telephoto camera
• 2MP ultra-wide unit

Up front, the phone has a 32MP camera, for selfies, video calls, all that kind of thing.

Connectivity-wise, it includes Bluetooth 6.0 and Wi-Fi 7. You also get an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and on the front protection it uses Corning Gorilla Glass 7i which sounds reassuring.

Battery and charging

The Xiaomi 17T is fitted with a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. Charging support is 67W fast charging, plus 22.5W reverse charging, so it can top up other gadgets if needed.

As for pricing, Xiaomi launched the 17T in two different storage combinations:
