The preparations for the fifth season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2027) have already begun, as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the much-anticipated schedule of the WPL 2027 season and the WPL 2027 player auction date.
The WPL 2027 season is set to begin on January 14 and will end on February 7, 2027. Earlier, on October 28, 2026, the much-awaited auction of WPL 2027 will be held in Kochi. Before the WPL 2027 player auction begins, all five WPL franchises will have to finalize their retention list by September 28, 2026.
The WPL 2027 auction will be hosted at the luxury hotel Grand Hyatt Kochi, and the teams will look to bolster their squads ahead of the fifth season of the premier women’s cricket league in Kochi.
