The revised prices will come into effect from September 20, 2026. The Galaxy S26 was originally launched in India at a starting price of ₹87,999. Following the latest revision, the base 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model will cost ₹99,999.

Samsung Galaxy S26 New Price in India

Samsung Galaxy S26 is available in two RAM and storage configurations in India. Both variants have received a ₹12,000 price increase.

Variant Launch Price Revised Price Increase

  • 12GB + 256GB ₹87,999 ₹99,999 ₹12,000
  • 12GB + 512GB ₹1,07,999 ₹1,19,999 ₹12,000

The new prices will be applicable from September 20, 2026. Samsung's original India pricing listed the Galaxy S26 at ₹87,999 for the 12GB + 256GB version and ₹1,07,999 for the 12GB + 512GB version.

Galaxy S26 Now Enters the ₹1 Lakh Price Segment

With the latest price revision, the standard Galaxy S26 has moved into a much higher price bracket in India. The entry-level model now costs ₹99,999, just below the ₹1 lakh mark.

The timing of the increase is also notable because Apple's iPhone 17 price in India was recently revised to ₹99,900, putting the two standard flagship smartphones at almost the same starting price.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Specifications

The Galaxy S26 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits.

In India, the smartphone is powered by Samsung's Exynos 2600 chipset. The device comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB internal storage options.

For photography, the Galaxy S26 features a triple rear-camera setup comprising a 50MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera and 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

The smartphone packs a 4,300mAh battery and supports 25W wired charging along with wireless charging. Other features include Android 16 with One UI, Gorilla Glass Victus 2, an Armor Aluminum frame and IP68 water and dust resistance.

Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra Price Update

The latest confirmed ₹12,000 increase applies to the standard Galaxy S26. There have also been reports of a possible price increase for the Galaxy S26 Ultra in India.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra originally launched in India at ₹1,39,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model, ₹1,59,999 for the 12GB + 512GB version and ₹1,89,999 for the 16GB + 1TB model. However, reports about a future Ultra price revision should be treated separately because Samsung has not publicly confirmed the reported increase.

Why the Galaxy S26 Price Hike Matters

The price revision changes the position of the Galaxy S26 in India's premium smartphone market. At launch, the phone started below the latest ₹99,900 starting price reported for the iPhone 17. After the Samsung price hike, the two phones are positioned at almost identical entry prices.

Samsung's Galaxy S26 continues to focus on a compact flagship design, high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, Galaxy AI capabilities, flagship-level cameras and long-term software support. Samsung says the S26 series receives seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.

Samsung Galaxy S26: Price and Availability

Recent reports also indicate limited availability of some Galaxy S26 variants at major online retailers, although availability can change quickly.
