Surya Kiran, A 48-year-old Telugu Film Director, Passes Away

On March 11, Surya Kiran, a Telugu child actor who later became a filmmaker and directed films like "Satyam" and "Dhana 51," passed away in his Chennai home. 48 was his age.

Surya reportedly passed away on Monday from jaundice. He was receiving care at the GEM hospital in Chennai.

As a kid actor, Kiran made his screen debut in over 200 films, including "Mauna Geethangal" and "Padukathavan." 'Satyam' was the film that Surya directed for the first time in 2003. Sumanth Akkineni and Genelia D'Souza played the main characters in the movie.

"Satyam" brought him immediate popularity and notoriety. He co-wrote 'Dhana 51' with Sumanth in 2005. In addition, he directed films such as "Raju Bhai" (2007), "Brahmastram" (2006), and "Chapter 6" (2010).

In addition, Suresh took part in the fourth season of the Telugu reality TV programme, Bigg Boss 4. It's interesting to note that he was the first competitor to be eliminated.

Actor Kalyani (Kaveri), with whom Surya Kiran was married, filed for divorce a few years later. Sujatha Dhanush, his younger sister, is an actress who primarily performs in South Indian cinema.

He stopped attending social events after being divorced from Kalyani and avoided the spotlight until he appeared on "Bigg Boss 4." He recently resumed his film career and talked about it in a YouTube video. He stated that their project would soon go into production and discussed working with comedian and actor Saptagiri.

In cinemas shortly is his most recent movie, "Arasi," starring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
