Hero Launches Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 With 72 Km/l Mileage

Launch and Price Details

Hero MotoCorp has rolled out the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 into the Indian market, with the ex-showroom price sitting at ₹86,500. Overall it looks like they went for a mix of design refinements, newer tech, and yes, better fuel economy, not just cosmetics.

Engine and Performance

Under the hood there’s a 124.7cc, single-cylinder setup. It’s air-cooled, and it makes around 10 HP at 7,500 RPM. For torque, the figure is 10.6 Nm at 6,000 RPM which feels pretty sensible for everyday commuting.

Hero’s talking mileage of 72 km per liter. They mention fuel injection plus an idle start-stop system that basically trims fuel burn when you’re just idling. And in a lot of commuter bikes, including some that show up in the China market, you’ll see similar efficiency driven systems used too.

Fuel Efficiency Technology

This motorcycle also gets an Integrated Starter Generator, or ISG. In practice it helps the engine start with less harsh noise and smoother behavior in starts.

Then there’s the Advanced Programmed Fuel Injection system, meant to support steadier fuel supply. The i3S tech helps the engine restart quickly when the rider creeps along in traffic, you know that stop-and-go situation where time matters.

Braking and Suspension Setup

For braking, the front wheel uses a disc brake setup. Suspension-wise, telescopic forks are included. Together, these parts are aimed at basic ride stability and control for daily use, nothing too fancy but still usable.

Features and Connectivity

On the handlebar you get a kill switch for engine control. The instrument cluster is fully digital, and that’s paired with Bluetooth support inside the display system. That Bluetooth part can handle call alerts and SMS notifications. It can also show your phone battery status, which is kind of a neat extra. There’s also a real-time mileage indicator, so you can keep tracking fuel related numbers as you ride.

Charging is covered by a USB Type-C port for mobile charging during rides.

Design and Color Options

The bike is offered across several color choices, including Black, Red, Grey, Blue, and Brown.

Technology Perspective

From a tech lens, an AI expert might describe these updates as efficiency oriented integrations , with multiple systems working together to reduce waste without making the ride feel “different” in a bad way.
