Bajaj Avenger 220: Updated Street 220 Launches In India

Market Launch and Price Positioning

Bajaj has brought in the refreshed Avenger Street 220 into the Indian market. The ex-showroom price is pinned at Rs 1.30 lakh ,which puts it sort of mid-range cruiser zone. The launch comes right after the Avenger Street 160 was taken off the line, so yeah there’s that.

Where the Bajaj Avenger 220 Lands in the Lineup

On the official Bajaj website, the Bajaj Avenger 220 is now listed. It sits close to the Avenger 220 Cruise, basically in the same family area. The Street 220 comes in around Rs 1,000 higher than the Cruise variant, not a big leap but it is there.

Design and Color Options

The design still feels like the older package, no real shake-up. The bike keeps the cruiser style layout, with a round headlamp , a relaxed riding posture, and a slightly raised handlebar that gives an easy stance.
As for colors, Bajaj is offering Ebony Black and Cocktail Wine Red.

Engine Performance of Bajaj Avenger 220

Powering the Bajaj Avenger 220 is a 220cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This unit makes 19 HP at 8,500 RPM ,and it returns 17 Nm of torque at 7,000 RPM.
A five-speed gearbox is paired to it, and the power delivery is tuned for calm, unhurried cruising rather than aggressive surges.

Suspension, Brakes, and Safety

Up front you get telescopic forks. At the back it uses twin shock absorbers with 5-step adjustability, so riders can tweak the feel a bit.
Braking duties are covered by a 280 mm front disc ,and a 130 mm rear disc. For safety, there’s a single-channel ABS setup.

Key Specifications Overview

The fuel tank holds 13 liters, and the kerb weight is rated at 160 kg. Those numbers help it feel planted during longer rides and keep the road handling steady, even when the route drags on.
