Missed Six Times In Two Overs: Bumrah On Sam Constas Batting Performance

Indian star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who is known for his precision and dominance in bowling, hardly gives away sixes. But young Australian batsman Sam Constas managed to hit two sixes off Bumrah's deliveries. Eventually, Ravindra Jadeja trapped Constas in front of the wickets, but not before the Australian showcased his fearless batting style.

Reflecting on Constas's performance before the third day's play, Bumrah said that the young batsman avoided dismissal every time during the first two overs which he bowled. "I never thought I will get him out," said Bumrah while citing that Constas's aggression reminded him of the T20 format.

Bumrah views Constas' aggressive batting

"I had a unique experience facing Constas," Bumrah stated. "In my 12-year career, I have played numerous T20 matches, and watching him bat was fascinating. Despite his aggression, I always felt he was in the game."

Indian pacer said he missed six or seven opportunities to dismiss Constas in the opening overs. "This is part of cricket—sometimes, no matter how hard you try, things don't go your way. But I enjoy such challenges," Bumrah shared.

Rare Six Concessions in Tests for Bumrah

Before Constas' sixes, Bumrah has bowled 4,562 balls in Test cricket since he did not give any single six to the opponents and that was since 2021 when Cameron Green made a six against him. So far, he conceded only nine sixes for his entire Test career.

Bumrah also conceded 18 runs in the 11th over of the match, which is the maximum runs he has given over a single over of any Test match so far.
