
The Amaravathi government has launched a chain of developmental projects amounting to ₹2,323.25 crore in the city's reconstruction process. Tenders were invited on January 1 for several infrastructure works that will be funded by the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) and Amaravathi Development Corporation (ADC) are taking up the initiatives with an emphasis on improving infrastructure and residential complexes.
Key Projects Announced
Infrastructure in LPS Zones
CRDA will take up the infrastructure development work in two LPS zones. The infrastructures to be developed include road works, drinking water supply systems, drainage, electricity, and internet cable ducts. The avenue plantations will also be taken up as part of the work.
- Zone 1A (Nekkalu): ₹448.32 crore.
- Zone 1B (Nekkalu and Sakhamuru): ₹588.04 crore.
Residential Complexes for Government Officials
Upgradation of infrastructure in 18 towers assigned to MLAs, MLCs, and All India Service officers. Scope of work covers electrical systems, plumbing, sanitation, fire safety, and security installations at ₹434.32 crore.
Flood Control Measures at Neerukonda Reservoir
ADC to manage flood control measures and all the associated infrastructure works at ₹470.75 crore.
Roads, Green Spaces, and Additional Infrastructure
Pedestrian paths, cycle tracks, streetlights, and rainwater diversion systems will be added at ₹381.82 crore.
Tender Deadlines
- Most submissions are open until January 22, 2:00 PM, and technical bid evaluations will begin the same day at 4:00 PM.
- Tenders for road and green infrastructure improvements are due by January 23, 2025.
