New Schedule Causes Irritation to the Train Passengers
The Sainagar Shirdi Express, which was earlier halted at the Rajamahendravaram railway station because of confusion raised by the changed schedule, is held up there for about three hours on Monday.
Revised Schedule Creates Issues
The Kakinada Port-Sainagar Shirdi Express from Kakinada left the station at 5:00 AM from January 1, when it had to leave the station at 6:00 AM.
Although the authorities announced the schedule earlier, a majority of the passengers who visited the Kakinada Port and Samarlakota stations failed to board the train due to its early departure time.
Railway officials stated that the authorities did give a proper intimation about the changed schedule. Still, the revised schedule created quite a mess and gave much trouble.
Alternative Arrangements for Affected Passengers
The Sainagar Shirdi Express was stopped at Rajamahendravaram to solve the problem. The passengers who were left behind at Kakinada and Samarlakota stations were carried to Rajahmundry in the Seshadri Express. After those passengers reached Rajamahendravaram, the Sainagar Shirdi Express continued its journey.
