BCCI Confirms Ongoing A Plus Status

The BCCI has announced that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will remain in the 'A Plus' contract category, even after retiring from Test and T20 cricket. BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia confirmed this.

Full Benefits Will Continue

Even though both cricketers have retired from international T20 and Tests, they are still crucial to Indian cricket. Due to this, they will continue getting all the privileges that are offered with the A Plus contract.

Annual Compensation Information

A Plus category players earn an annual retainer of ₹7 crore. Rohit and Kohli will continue to earn this amount irrespective of their retirement from particular forms.

Retirement from T20s and Tests

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retired from T20 Internationals when India won the 2024 T20 World Cup. Both recently announced retirement from Test matches as well.
