India-A took on UAE in the Asia Rising Stars 2025 tournament. India-A, who won the toss, opted to bat first. The team was off to a strong total in the early overs of the innings. Opening batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi put pressure on the UAE bowlers right away with his fast and controlled batting. He amassed 144 runs in 42 balls, hitting 11 fours and 15 sixes.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi: Rapid Rise
14-year-old Vaibhav brought up his half-century in 16 balls and reached the three-figure mark in the same number of balls. The shot selection remained the same, and his timing remained sharp from the first over itself.
He hit 4, 6, and 6 off Ayan Khan's third over. In the next over by Jawadullah, he smacked three fours and one six. He kept the momentum going and had his fifty in just 16 balls. Off Farazuddin, he smashed 4, 6, and 4 in consecutive deliveries, and in the very next over, he smacked three continuous sixes to take him to 98 runs. He completed his hundred with a four off Muhammad Arfan in the tenth over.

The opener continued to score quickly even after reaching the milestone. He smacked four continuous sixes and followed it up with a four off Harshit Kaushik. After adding two more sixes, he was dismissed by Farazuddin in the 12.3 over of the innings.
