Second Test Against South Africa: India All Out For 201 Runs

India were all out for 201 runs in the first innings of the second Test against South Africa. The team had resumed the third day with a score of 9/0 in the first innings but never managed to compile a good total. India lagged behind by 288 runs from South Africa. South Africa, which scored 489 in their first innings, didn't enforce a follow-on.

Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal played a lone hand, scoring 58 off 97 balls laced with 7 fours and a six. He was the only top-order batsman who could manage a decent score. India, which was once cruising along at 95/1, lost wickets in a heap to collapse to 122/7. KL Rahul made 22 runs while Sai Sudarshan managed 15. Dhruv Jurel (0), Rishabh Pant (7), Ravindra Jadeja (6) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (10) failed to impress.

While Washington Sundar made 48 off 92 balls with the help of 2 fours and 1 six, Kuldeep Yadav chipped in with 19 off 134 balls. The two combined for 72 runs for the eighth wicket off 208 balls as they stood up to the South African attack.

On the South African side, Marco Janssen was the most prolific bowler, with the figures of 6/48; Simon Harmer snapped up 3, whereas Keshav Maharaj took 1 wicket.
