Return of Hardik Pandya after Injury

Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya mentioned that his positive mindset helped him return to cricket after injury. He says this attitude helped him get through the recovery phase and strengthened him mentally as well. Hardik suffered an injury during the Asia Cup and reappeared almost two months later in the first T20I against South Africa in Cuttack.

He had a good game with both bat and ball. His batting helped India reach 175 runs in 20 overs. He scored 59* runs from 28 balls. With the ball, he bowled two overs, conceded 16 runs, and took one wicket. India won the match by 101 runs.

Hardik on Confidence and Motivation

  • He said that after his injury, he came back stronger and confident. Hardik elaborated that injuries knock the players off mentally and remaining firm would increase much self-belief. He added that self-belief is required for others to trust in us.
  • Further, he said he wants to relish every moment in the field and entertain the crowd through his way of playing. He also cited his partner Monica Sharma as among his most influential persons. He said since she came into his life, many good things had happened.

Hardik's Concern About Media Behaviour

Hardik recently posted on Instagram regarding the photographers in Mumbai who click pictures of Monica Sharma. He shared that one photographer clicked pictures from an angle that could make any woman feel embarrassed. He mentioned that these pictures are definitely a compromise with personal privacy, which is done for the purpose of publicity. He also added, "Minimum respect towards women of this country is basic and one should follow the limits."
