While responding to the invitation to bat first by courtesy of the toss, the team amassed a total of 574/6 in 50 overs, creating history in making it the total score by any team in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

The previous record was held by the state of Tamil Nadu, who scored 506 runs for the second wicket against Arunachal Pradesh on November 21, 2022. Bihar has broken that record. Both records have been broken by the respective teams while playing against Arunachal Pradesh.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi reached his hundred in just 36 balls. Sakibul Gani reached his hundred in even fewer balls than that, 32 balls to be exact.

Earlier in the tournament, Ishan Kishan, playing for Jharkhand vs. Karnataka in Ahmedabad, achieved the feat of hitting a century in 33 balls. He remained unbeaten at 125 runs in 39 balls, including 7 fours and 14 sixes. Jharkhand declared the end of their innings at 412 runs for the loss of nine wickets, thereby leaving the target of 413 runs for Karnataka.
